  2. Do not leave the cologne behind when leaving the room. If too strong of a scent, do not wear it.

In an interview:

  1. Be concise
  2. Have eye contact
  3. Provide examples
  4. Be honest
  5. Keep your guard
  6. Send a thank you note
  7. Ask about where the company is and where it will go. (Is there a five year plan?)

When writing emails:

  1. Fill in the “to” line last
  2. Walk away and check emails later
  3. Correct salutations
  4. Ask how employer can be contacted

Burning bridges:

  1. Beware of restrooms and elevators so that others do not overhear


  1. Not too tight, short, wrinkled, low shirts.
  2. Tuck it


  1. Bread on the left, drinks on the right of the table
  2. Work from outside to inside for utensils
  3. Do not drink alcohol in the meal
  4. It is not necessary to eat the whole meal.
  5. Look up culture’s etiquette.
  6. Order beef if dealing with the beef industry, produce if dealing with produce industry and seafood if dealing with that industry.
  7. Do not skip out on bread.
  8. If representing a company, refrain from drinking too much. Withhold when possible.
